About NYSTCE Bias Review and Content Advisory Committees

The New York State Education Department (NYSED) and the Evaluation Systems group of Pearson are seeking New York State educators to participate in test review conferences for the New York State Teacher Certification Examinations™ (NYSTCE®) in the following areas:

  • Blind and Visually Impaired
  • Cantonese
  • Educational Technology Specialist
  • Elementary Assessment of Teaching Skills—Written (ATS—W)
  • Liberal Arts and Sciences Test (LAST)
  • Mandarin
  • Russian
  • Secondary Assessment of Teaching Skills—Written (ATS—W)

We are also seeking educators for the Bias Review Committee. Applications for NYSTCE fields not listed will also be accepted for future consideration.

We are seeking educators who are:
  • representative of all areas and populations in the state.
You are qualified if you are:
  • a permanently certified New York State educator who is currently teaching in an appropriate field, or
  • a college educator who prepares prospective teachers (teacher education faculty and arts and sciences faculty).
Participants will:
  • receive substitute reimbursement for their school district if they are public school teachers.
  • participate in one- or two-day meetings.
  • be reimbursed for their travel and meal expenses.
  • be provided with hotel accommodations if necessary.
